oly's frequently asked questions

  1. Who do you sell to? Oly sells directly to retail stores and designers.
    1. If you are an end customer, please see our “locations” page on our website for a retail store location.
    2. Oly’s gift /jewelry program is for designers and retail stores who would like to purchase Oly gift or jewelry items only.  Opening order requirement is $500 and re-order minimum is $250.  A $100 surcharge will apply to orders under the minimum.
    3. Oly’s non-stock sales program allows designers and retail stores to purchase furniture/accessories or gift items with a minimum opening order of $2500 and reorder minimum of $1000.  A $100 surcharge will apply to re-orders under the minimum (first order must meet the $2500 minimum).  A 50% non-refundable deposit is required for all orders.
    4. Oly’s stock program is for retail stores only.  The stock program requires a minimum opening order of $10,000 for furniture and accessories combined with a $1000 minimum re-order.  For accessories and gift only, the order minimum is $1,000.  A 50% non-refundable deposit is required for all orders.
  2. Can I order less than the $1000 non-stock minimum? On occasion, if you just need a small item and can't meet the $1000 minimum, a $100 minimum surcharge will be applied to process your order.
  3. What information do you need to order? When placing an order, please provide us with your reseller's permit/tax ID number. We will also need a commercial ship to address for freight orders (UPS orders can be shipped to residential locations) and payment information (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Diner's Card).
  4. What payment methods do you accept? Orders must pre-paid (Visa, MasterCard, Amex, Diner's Card). Please include the name on card, billing address and security code.
  5. What are your finishes and upholsteries?
    Finishes: black, dark brown, light brown, chalk (dove grey) antiqued white, enamel orange and enamel white
    Finish option (20% upcharge): gold or silver details on selected products.
    Upholstery: raffia (fabric backed and durable - cleaned using soap and water), white herringbone, hemp wool
    LEATHER: black, slate, coffee, white, ivory, java, curry, bronze, dove, sand, bark suede, persimmon suede
    FAUX CROCODILE LEATHER: espresso, ebony; MOHAIR: toffee, hickory
    NATURAL UPHOLSTERIES: goatskin, brown hide, faux zebra (hide colors and patterns vary & may have natural markings)
  6. Do you have samples? A sample kit can be ordered for $50. Please fax your order to your sales rep at 775.284.4430 with credit card payment. Sample Kits include all upholsteries, wood and metal finishes, antiqued mirror and shell samples.
  7. Do you accept custom orders or Customers Own Material (COM)? In order to keep our price points low, we are unable to accept custom or COM orders. Our products may be ordered in pre-upholstery muslin - just specify "muslin" under upholstery.
  8. Where is the product made? Silks and ceramics are made in Vietnam. All other furniture and accessories are made in our own factory in Indonesia and are original designs.
  9. What type of wood is used? Most pieces are made of mahogany. Furniture with the light brown finish are made of mindi (a hard wood indigenous to Indonesia). Henry benches are made of sono wood (indigenous to Indonesia).
  10. Where do you ship from? We ship from Reno, NV or Berkeley, CA. We ship freight via common carriers to commercial locations (curbside delivery) with a flat shipping rate based on zip code and smaller items are shipped via UPS.
  11. Can you ship directly to my customer? We can ship small UPS-able items to residential locations. If you use our shipper, all freight shipments are shipped to a loading dock or curbside commercial location or a receiving warehouse.
  12. What are the lead times? We stock most of our accessories and best selling furniture items and can ship those items immediately. New products and other items may have lead times up to 10 to 16 weeks. Please see our website or contact us for specific product information.
